About JoAnna Pope Bookings
JoAnna Pope (she/her) is an artist liaison, events manager, and creative project partner working at the intersection of contemporary music, opera, and storytelling.
Under the banner JPB | JoAnna Pope Bookings, she supports composers, ensembles, and organizations with the behind-the-scenes work that makes performances, residencies, and tours actually happen.
Drawing on a decade of experience as a mezzo-soprano, JoAnna brings a performer’s intuition to every collaboration: she understands how rehearsal rooms feel, what artists need to do their best work, and how to translate vision into practical timelines, budgets, and touchpoints that honor both the art and the humans making it.
She currently partners with artists and organizations in the United States and abroad, serving as a bridge between creative teams, presenters, and audiences.
Rooted in a Life on Stage
Before centering my work in artist liaison and project stewardship, I spent years on the other side of the curtain as a mezzo-soprano.
My performance work has included collaborations with companies such as Boston Lyric Opera, Sarasota Opera, Savannah VOICE Festival, Opera del West, Opera Mississippi, Opera51, VOX New England, Bay View Music Festival, and the Boston University Opera Institute. Stagetime
Those years taught me how fragile and powerful a performance can be—and how much it depends on care, clarity, and trust in the background. JPB grew out of a desire to offer that kind of support to the artists and projects I love most.
